I am no expert but I did take enough economics courses in college to know some very bad days are coming. Unlike the carter years we cannot pull out of this one. If we raise interest rates we kill economy and if fed keeps printing money we kill economy. We are in the beginning stages of a total economic and social meltdown in usa. Just think about it. 70% of us economy is consumer spending which was being fueled in large part on easy credit lines. Banks taking credit away and people only have paycheck which is not enough to pay bills let alone spend. So more biz fail and unemployment increases and we have a nightmare of epic proportions..... no one will have any $ but at least we have health care ;-) madness is coming. Move far out in country and start garden. Cities will be dangerous

Gerald Celente does know his stuff. He tends to recommend people to "prepare" by buying gold. Since gold has become pretty expensive, I have heard him on Coast to Coast, Alex Jones & other places tell listeners to buy supplies and become self-reliant. How many of you are able to grow your own food? (Just one example)

Mr. Celente knows what's going on with the banks and wall street. He also recommend Americans to boycott things made in China, think Local/ buy Local!

"It begins with the individual. If we don't support our neighbors we are going to go under."

I think it is time that we all take heed and make the necessary preparations. Even if only half of Gerald's comments come true, it is not a pretty picture.

It does seem that Gerald Celente has an uncanny knack for predicting things.

Problem is, Celente has predicted dire circumstances (doomsday predictions) before like the market crash in the 80's, the sub-prime mortguage debacle, and the list goes on. Many people thought he was full of it when he predicted those things, and guess what? He was right. When he says there is a high probability something will happen, I'm listening and preparing. If more people listened to him a few years ago, maybe they wouldn't have lost their houses, savings and retirement.

Nostradomas Cilente is fun to read and listen to and some of his "predictions" are quite logical but beware of following the pied piper over the cliff on his far-out stuff. Doomsday prophets get great readership and they know it so they spout it.
