***Update 8-18-2010***
Ron Paul address the rumors and said that he does not have plans to run or to not run at this time. He did say he is basing his decision on whether he feels he will have enough support for another run.
Well Ron, You have my support and many other people I know. Please run. I will respect your decision either way. Thanks for standing up for truth and standing against corruption, deceit, and lies.

That’s the question everyone is asking. Will Ron Paul run in 2012? It would be great if Dr. Paul would run for president in 2012 and rumors are that he will. It looks like the servers at www.dailypaul.com crashed this morning on the idea that it may happen. There may still be time to reverse the collision course our country is on.
There is real hope for our country if Ron Paul can continue his campaign of education during the next presidential election cycle. Every day more and more people are educated on the principles of liberty & peace.
The best reason to vote for Ron Paul as ‘Commander in Chief’ in 2012 is that he “doesn’t want to run your life” and believe “the constitution doesn’t give him the authority to run your life.” Let’s all hope that the good Dr. Ron Paul decides to run for President in 2012.

“Control the coinage and the courts, the rabble can have the rest.” – The Princess Irulan in Frank Herbert’s Dune.
Last week was a good week for the so-called “constitutional wing” of the Republican Party, those indomitable Ron Paul people. Okay, sure, the next presidential election is a long way off but a recent snapshot taken by pollsters shows a surprising opening for the Texas congressman, the man who says that the Federal Reserve should be audited. The general public is moving toward Ron Paul, even if most of them don’t even know who he is.
Meanwhile, 48 per cent of Americans think that Sarah Palin is not ready to be president. 29 per cent think she is.
And what gives the Ron Paul campaign an opening is how equally angry the public is with both political parties. For the first time a majority of the public puts both Republicans and Democrats in the unfavorable column. (Ibid.) A pox on both of their houses. It is a complaint that Ron Paul has been making for years.
Rasmussen 2012 Presidential Election Predictions: Ron Paul 41%, Barack Obama 42%

Pit maverick Republican Congressman Ron Paul against President Obama in a hypothetical 2012 election match-up, and the race is – virtually dead even.
A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey of likely voters finds Obama with 42% support and Paul with 41% of the vote. Eleven percent (11%) prefer some other candidate, and six percent (6%) are undecided.
Ask the Political Class, though, and it’s a blowout. While 58% of Mainstream voters favor Paul, 95% of the Political Class vote for Obama.
But Republican voters also have decidedly mixed feelings about Paul, who has been an outspoken critic of the party establishment.
Obama earns 79% support from Democrats, but Paul gets just 66% of GOP votes. Voters not affiliated with either major party give Paul a 47% to 28% edge over the president.
Paul, an anti-big government libertarian who engenders unusually strong feelings among his supporters, was an unsuccessful candidate for the Republican presidential nomination in 2008. But he continues to have a solid following, especially in the growing Tea Party movement.
Twenty-four percent (24%) of voters now consider themselves a part of the Tea Party movement, an eight-point increase from a month ago. Another 10% say they are not a part of the movement but have close friends or family members who are.
